PROJECT&#38;nbsp; 4 33 Installation at Nomen Nescio Gallery Space. 4 33 can be seen as a visual cover version of the John Cage’s silent composition 4’33” (1952). The installation features a blank musical staff made of white neon tubes. &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; 
Exploring the concepts of time and space, the piece stretches physically to 4 meters and 33 centimeters in length, and its illumination lasts exactly 4 minutes and 33 seconds. The staff lights up line by line, remains fully lit for the duration, and then dims sequentially, creating a temporal rhythm that mirrors Cage’s exploration of silence and attention.&#38;nbsp;
&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; The installation was accompanied by the 4 33 Festival, a special evening featuring stellar artists performing 4-minute-and-33-second pieces. The artists included Ada Aik, Heta Bilaletdin, Islaja, Malla, Ringa Manner and sound engineer Mauri Syrjälä.

PROJECT&#38;nbsp; Grids + Lines is a joint exhibition with the Japanese sculptor and designer Akiko Mori. The exhibition focuses on pure form, starting from the simplest visual element — a dot. When the dot is moving, it becomes the line. When a line is multiplying and rotating, it finally becomes a grid. Using the grid as a metaphor for crossing paths and connecting the dots, the exhibition is the first collaboration between the two artists. 

&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; My part of the exhibition is the Lines. It consists of straight lines, made of one meter long white glass neon tubes, measuring the walls.&#38;nbsp;It is a simple modular concept, where a ”responsive” line is adjusting itself to the given space, and the total length of each line depends on the length / height of the wall it is installed on. The amount of the one meter long neon tubes equals the length of the given line in metres, so it becomes the title of the work.

PROJECT&#38;nbsp; (PLACEHOLDER) exhibition at Galleria Loisti in Helsinki. Neon light icons fill the walls of the exhibition space. On the first wall is a generic image placeholder icon, reminiscent of a mountain landscape. On the opposite wall, staring at the landscape, is an anonymous profile picture icon.&#38;nbsp; 

&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; On the surface, these simplified placeholder icons—familiar from digital user interfaces—are content-free. Made of basic geometric shapes, they are temporary visual representations of content that will be added later. At the same time, they carry a huge potential, occupying the space for something yet to be seen or specified. 

&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; At the gallery, the archetypal icons make a suggestion for an exhibition layout: Here is a portrait, here is a landscape. Stuck in a moment between an idea and the realization, the (PLACEHOLDER) exhibition simultaneously presents nothing and everything.

PROJECT&#38;nbsp; ”Untitled” exhibition at the Titanik Gallery, as part of the Kiilan Talviäänipäivät. A video is projected on the wall of the exhibition space. In the video a black text cursor of an untitled text document is blinking in the corner of the screen in 1 second intervals.&#38;nbsp;A visual metaphor for silence and thinking, the blinking cursor acts as a portal between a thought and an action. While keeping the viewer waiting for something to happen, it’s also impossible to know if the lack of text content is an advantage of a disadvantage.

PROJECT &#38;nbsp;Visual identity for PISTE, an exhibition by Circle at the Pori Art Museum main hall. The exhibition and its elements were handbuilt by Circle, and the visual identity explores the making-of process behind the exhibition. Spreading across the city of Pori, the posters and the advertisements present snapshots of different stages of the exhibition production, from the wood frame workshop to the test-building of the pentakis dodecahedron in the backyard. As a reference to the exhibition name (piste = dot), the imagery is presented through a uniform raster dot effect. &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; 
PISTE is a sculpture &#38;amp; audio installation created by Circle, a Pori based experimental music group that stretches the boundaries between art forms. PISTE presents Circle’s artistic ethos in a spatial exhibition environment. The main feature in the exhibition space is a large sculpture taking the geometric form of a pentakis dodecahedron. Made of sheet metal and a frame, it resembles the aesthetics of heavy metal music, a notion that is amplified by the seven box-like shapes arranged to ritualistically circle the center sculpture.

PROJECT&#38;nbsp;Visual identity for Kivinen Rusanen Architects, the awards-winning Helsinki based architecture company specialized in industrial architecture. Earlier known as Virkkunen &#38;amp; Co, the company wanted to renew their name and identity after changes in the ownership. Established already in 1954, the company became known for their rational, clear and modernist architecture. As a nod to the company history, at the heart of the new identity is the modernist typeface KRA Grotesk, a slightly customised version of the SCTO Grotesk by Schick Toikka.&#38;nbsp;In line with the company’s history and the industry tradition, the re-naming of the company was made after the new owners names. The design decisions on the identity were based on similar rational perception of the given elements. The seemingly random-aligned KRA monogram is a result of removing the other letters from the right-aligned wordmark. The remaining shape allows it to read both ways as a symbol for the company name, and the industry it operates in (ARK). The dot pattern found on the business cards &#38;amp; e-mail signature references to the cast-in-place concrete technique used in several works of Kivinen Rusanen Architects. The staff portraits by Unto Rautio were shot at Salmisaari A, the first powerplant in Helsinki to produce district heating.
